Pundit Gary Neville was stunned by one awful mistake by Erling Haaland in the Manchester Derby. Manchester City hosted their rivals Manchester United on Sunday in a much heated game. The Sky Blues got the better of the Red Devils with a 3-1 scoreline.

Pep Guardiola’s side needed to pick up vital three points in order to stay within touching distance of Premier League leaders Liverpool. Despite being the favourites, the Sky Blues were not comfortable in the starting. Although they had the possession control, a stellar strike from Marcus Rashford saw United leading within 15 minutes.

Gary Neville struck amazed by Erling Haaland’s miss

As the game progressed, it was certain that City will atleast level the game. In the constant efforts for it, the Norwegian got a tap in from a couple of yards towards the end of first half. However, he somehow managed to flick it over the bar from that distance. It was the moment when Gary was awestruck. He said in the commentary,

“Oh my gosh, what has he just done? What’s he not done? They’ve been working it and working it, and finally they get perfection apart from that, you can not believe that Erling Haaland has put that over the bar.

He missed some chances against Chelsea a couple of weeks ago, he can’t believe it, Pep Guardiola. A startling thing we’ve just seen. Is he trying to put it into the top of the net? Is he trying to be clever?”

It was something very rare from the forward. Rodri was left absolutely furious when he witnessed the blunder and Guardiola was stunned while Haaland was in pure disbelief Nevertheless, the Cityzens somehow managed to comeback courtesy to a brace from Phil Foden. Haaland do score the third goal owing to a mistake by Amrabat and making his side clear off their opposition.
