Arsenal had several very good players in the team. They had good players like Jorginho who won the Euros and The UEFA Champions League player, Kai Havertz. Raheem Sterling was also there who won the Premier League for quadruple number of times. However at Deepdale most fans were shouting the name of Ethan Nwaneri the new youngster. He has been performing very well in every single match. Nwaneri is looking forward to keep doing it for Arsenal match after match. Arsenal won in the Carabao cup quarter final.
His Performance:
Nwaneri scored his goal number three for Arsenal. He scored a very good goal. The goal struck in the top bins in the top corner. He was performing very well throughout the match. Arsenal fans gave him a standing ovation. Arteta said that he is only seventeen years old and can already perform so good on a high level of football. He made sure to keep it low because he did not want Nwaneri to be excited and lose his seriousness. Arteta wants to keep the youngster very humble. Nwaneri is a very huge talent and also he has got the right attitude and behavior. The squad around him really supports him a lot and he enjoys playing with them. They have got the right plans. All of them perform really well. Arteta is making sure that those players around him help Nwaneri grow.
He says that Nwaneri is changing a lot and working too hard. The youngster is making sure to stay on track.
Preston was one of the teams from the Championship who were in the top of their competition. Preston made many tactical changes for their team, however, they still lost. They made the changes last match against Plymouth. Preston still lost at home with more than three goals. Arsenal showed a really good performance. Arsenal have been good since the starting of the season. The Gunners have more players so that is why they got more substitutes. They are looking forward to use these tactical changes in their upcoming games.
Match Analysis:
Against Preston, Tommy Setford made his debut for his team. He has done brilliant. He joined Arsenal from Ajax. However, after performing well, he did not get the attention from the fans after his performance. Liam Lindsay would have been a big threat for the young Arsenal keeper, however he managed it very well. Arteta said that he has not reached his potential yet but he will very soon. He saved a header shot at the goal from Sam Greenwood. He also saved several freekicks. Preston were missing several chances against The Gunners. They should have done it and should have scored in the chances because they are very dangerous opponents to play against.
Since the beginning of the match Arsenal seemed to have been overcomplicating their game. They have been missing a lot of chances as well. Arsenal did not play that good. Nwaneri was playing too well. However, he is too young so he was very careless and has been missing a lot as well. He performed very good but apparently he did not reach his true potential and is very careless as well.
Nwaneri could have assisted Gabriel Jesus but he could not. Jesus did not score from the cross of Ethan Nwaneri. He headed it away from the goal. Havertz also could not score the second goal foe the Gunners. Jorginho gave a cross to him but it was saved by the Preston goalkeeper. Kiwior assisted for the second time in the match for the Gunners. He assisted to Kai Havertz. He scored a really good goal from a header and did not give any chance to the Preston goalkeeper, Woodman.
