Everton, Crystal Palace interested in Harry Winks

Harry Winks can be a potential player for either Crystal Palace or Everton this summer according to some reports. The 26-year-old has failed to impress at White Hart Lane this season

The 26-year-old was rarely used by Nuno Espirito Santo. Antonio Conte has also not chosen to use Winks much this season despite a decent run in the side with the games given to him.

Reinforcements in the midfield force Winks out of the first team.

The Englishman started in just 15 games for the Spurs. Pierre Emile Hojbjerg or Oliver Skipp were preferred over him in the midfield for Hotspurs.

Now, Conte has brought Rodrigo Bentacur from Juventus. And this pushed Harry Winks further down the pecking order at Spurs.

Moreover, Conte seems to be keen on shaking things up at White Hart Lane. He has already started shaping his squad for a chance at the title. Some of the most impressive signings of the summer were done by Spurs. Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, and, Josh Keeley are the few transfers. Now Tottenham has confirmed the signing of Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton for a fee of 25m pounds. Spurs have now a lot of options for the central midfield position. Now, it seems unlikely that Harry Winks can break through into the first team this season.

Everton and Crystal Palace – good options for Harry Winks

Everton are on the market for a central midfielder. Frank Lampard is looking for reinforcements in the midfield. Reportedly, he is looking for players that will help him control possession in the 2022-23 league games.

Meanwhile, Patrick Viera is also looking to build on a successful first season with the Eagles. He is looking for a replacement for Chelsea loanee Connor Gallagher. Gallagher was an integral player for Palace this season. He has also impressed Thomas Tuchel a lot this season. This impressive performance means he has a place on the Chelsea side the next season. Harry Winks could be a good replacement for Gallagher. It all depends on whether Viera sees him fit into the team he is building at Selhurst Park
