Here we have with us the Everton Player Ratings for their upsetting defeat against Newcastle United. The Toffees were thrashed 1-3 by the Magpies at the St. James’ Park in their Premier League clash on Wednesday.

Everton are now 16th in the league with a 1-point clear off of 17th placed Newcastle United.

While both teams went head to head, Everton broke the deadlock after the half-hour mark. A shot from Mason Holgate initially blocked, struck Newcastle CB Jamaal Lascelles leading to the own goal. However, that joy was short-lived as just a minute later Holgate scored an own goal to level the score.

With the Magpies dominating the attack, a cross via Saint-Maximin was tucked in by Ryan Fraser to give the hosts the lead. Frank Lampard‘s men kept pushing for an equalizer but fell short each time. A stunning free-kick scored by Kieran Trippier in the 80th minute sealed the game 3-1.
