Exclusive: Chelsea ace issues his statement on the ongoing uncertainty for his future

Trevoh chalobah

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has given his verdict on his future with the club. There have been numerous speculations and rumours regarding his career path. Chalobah made his first start since pre season back in July last year in last night’s 3-2 win over Leeds and has missed 32 games this season through injury.

The 24-year old looked comfortable though, playing a full 90 minutes for the first time since his return from injury. The Cobham graduate had to deal with speculations of his career and a failed transfer to Bayern Munich last summer. Despite all this, the centre-back kept his head held high and stayed focused regardless of the chaos around.

Chalobah breaks his silence amidst Chelsea jeopardy

The future of academy graduate is still rolling between the decisions by the corridors of power at Stamford Bridge. Amidst all these, the defender said,

“I kept my head down and always kept working. With all the noise going on around me, I always just stay focused and I can always do what is in front of me. And me being at this club and how much I love the club, I will fight no matter what. If I play or I don’t play, I will give it my all and that is all I can do.”

With Chelsea’s squad stretched due to injuries Chalobah will be hoping that he is handed more opportunities in the remainder of the season. Despite penning down a contract until 2028 a couple of years ago, Chalobah maybe forced to expel out from the club as Chelsea look to ease out on Premier League profit and sustainability rules. Nevertheless, he will have the chance to change the mind of the management by performing better in the remaining course of the season.
