English club Everton has been home to some of the biggest talents in world football since a long time. Now, Pat Nevin has added one more prodigy into the list of Everton stars.
He believes that Jarrad Branthwaite is an immense talent and may soon be seen claiming a big money move. With an academy famed for its youth production, and a scouting system that has always found a way to identify talent from across the country and beyond, some of their record sales and current first-team stars have come up through Finch Farm.
Nevin believes Everton may not have a hold on their youngster
The English youth international is one of the most intriguing talents in world football. Speaking on BBC Football Extra newsletter, a fan asked Nevin to name the most exciting young talent. There have been plenty of stars whom he has highly regarded. Cole Palmer, Ebereche Eze and Michael Olise are some of his picks for the young talents. Brighton star Mitoma is also the one he holds a lot of praise for. Though, his injury this season has been a halt to his run in the league.
Pat exclaimed the 21-year old saying,
‘โOh yes and keep an eye on Jarad Branthwaite, he could be next yearโs breathtaking breakthrough player.โ’
This might be a debatable topic that whether he will be leaving Goodison next season or not. Although itay not seem a fancy option, one cannot deny the possibility of such surprises. The Toffees will be wishing to keep a hold on their academy graduate. His first full debut campaign on Premier League is no less than a stellar after a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven. Hopefully, he can give the Toffees at least one more year before he inevitably departs for the apex of world football.
