Chelsea and Leicester City head on to fight for silverware this season at Wembley on Saturday at 9:45 pm IST. Both clubs Chelsea and Leicester have worked their way through to the finals by beating Manchester City and Southampton respectively in the previous round.
The winner of the FA Cup final would be of the shades of Blue as both Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rogers look forward to winning their first trophy with their clubs.
Tuchel’s side is more favoured to win with their recent form and squad depth helping them to reach the UCL finals. Although Leicester could ironically pull a Leicester and beat the West Londoners.
Chelsea just lost their last match against Arsenal, risking their position in the top four. While Leicester won their last premier league against Manchester United.
TEAM NEWS AND INJURY UPDATES:
Chelsea receive a huge boost with both N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic available for the final. Tuchel also confirmed Kante was dropped out of the last match in regards to pain management and not any big injury concern. He confirmed Kepa and Kante to start against the Foxes.
“We took the decision together to leave him out against Arsenal and give him treatment. It was nothing to be afraid of getting bigger. He trained yesterday and today full, no complaints.”
“He will start tomorrow and hopefully finish the game for us.”
After both Toni Rudiger and Timo Werner were left out against Arsenal, they should also return to the Lineup.
On the other hand, the only injuries Brendan Rogers face is of defender Jonny Evans who’s played a huge role in their Premier League campaign.
“We’ll give him another day. He’s progressed really well. He was outside today and looked very good. We’ll see how that reacts. We’ll make the final decision tomorrow.
James Justin and Harvey Barnes are long absentees and are ruled out of the match.
“Everyone else is fit and available, apart from the obvious guys.”
PREDICTED LINE-UPS AND MATCH PREDICTION:
Chelsea XI: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Thiago, Rudiger; James, Kante, Kovacic, Chilwell; Ziyech, Mount; Werner
Leicester City XI: Schmeichel; Castagne, Fofana, Soyuncu, L.Thomas; Ndidi, Tielemans, Perez, Albrighton; Vardy, Iheanacho
Chelsea just received a reality check after their previous match and have successfully won this trophy eight times. Though Leicester did win in their last encounter and could be the underdogs. We predict Leicester City to win 2-1 against the Blues as their late owner Khun Vichai’s spirit lives on.
