Fabrizio Romano clears up the reports suggesting Erling Haaland is suffering at Manchester City

There have been reports in Spain recently claiming that Erling Haaland is not happy at Manchester City. Journalist Fabrizio Romano now clears up the situation between the club and Haaland.

Pep Guardiola was asked about reports in Spain suggesting that Erling Haaland is struggling at Manchester City during his press conference on Friday. The Spanish manager said that the club does not feel their marksman is unhappy though. Moreover, he mockingly said that the media in Madrid have “more information than us“. Amidst the speculations of the Norwegian leaving the club for Madrid, Romano now sums up the situation of Haaland.

Writing in his column for CaughtOffside, the journalist believes that there is no change in the decision of Haaland to leave the club sooner or later. He said,

“I’m not aware of anything about Haaland being unhappy, sad or whatever in Manchester. The situation remains the same as always, the player is enjoying his time at the Premier League champions working under a top coach like Pep Guardiola. There have been no changes in his situation.”

The reports from Madrid may just be stunt to unsettle the situation between Man City and Haaland. The management at Santiago Bernabeu will love to take Erling Haaland as their striker after failing out to find a suitable replacement for Karim Benzema. Amidst this, there are also reports from France for their long-awaited target man.

A media outlet in France has claimed that Kylian Mbappe is ready for a move to Real Madrid in the summer for free. The France international is currently PSG and will be a free agent in summer 2024. If this deal materializes, a substantial waiting period of Madrid supporters may come to an end. Let’s hope for the best though.
