Arsenal had signed the young Brazilian talent Marquinhos from Sao Paulo over the summer transfer window. Marquinhos have made only one Premier League appearance so far, although he was used by Mikel Arteta for the Europa League and has made three appearances in the competition. Recently though, there have been speculations that the Gunners are thinking about loaning the young talent. Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have not yet made any decisions regarding that. The Italian journalist claims the 19- year old to be impressive at the training grounds.

Impressive Marquinhos in the Arsenal training

Romano reveals that the Brazilian is really impressive in the training. While writing in his daily briefing for Caught Offside’s Substack, Romano revealed that Marquinhos is working really hard at London Colney.

“With regards to a possible loan in January, Arsenal have not decided on Marquinhos yet,”

The Italian commented

“I think it’s normal to discuss new winger and not to consider Marquinhos ready yet as he’s super young, he just spent few months in England and so he needs to adapt, improve and then become important part of the first team in the future. For sure they’re really happy with Marquinhos and his approach also in training.”

Marquinhos faces competition in the squad with Saka, and Martinelli both doing a great job as wingers. It is quite given that the Brazilian will need some time to adapt to English football but he clearly has been impressive so far.

Still, time for Marquinhos to grow

The Arsenal winger is still 19- years old and have plenty of time to grow as a top-level player. If Arsenal does decide to loan out the player it will only benefit him to gain first-team experience. The Arsenal manager will definitely keep his options open ahead of the Brighton clash for the Carabao Cup. Marquinhos would surely be hoping to see his name in the starting lineup ahead of the match.
