For instance, with Cole Palmer, there seems to be no chance that Chelsea are going to sell him in the upcoming few years.

Apart from Palmer, players like Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are also expected to stay at the club for a long time as the Blues have spent huge transfer amounts on them. But now according to Fabrizio Romano, another Chelsea player become “untouchable” in the current squad after a spectacular start to the new season.

According to Chelsea Chronicle, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, has labled Noni Madueke as an “untouchable”player in the current squad as the Blues have no intention of selling him in the near future except if something unexpected happens. Noni Madueke joined Chelsea in the January transfer window last season. The Blues signed him on a seven-year contract, for a transfer fee of around £30m. Madueke scored his first Chelsea against Arsenal in a 3-1 league defeat last season.

Noni Madueke is having a great season with Chelsea

Last season Madueke made 34 appearances for the Blues across all competitions, scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists across all competitions. However, out of the 23 appearances in the Premier League, 10 of them were coming on as a substitute. Under the former Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, Madueke did get decent playing time but not sufficient enough. This led to only 34 appearances across all competitions in the last season.

However, this season has been totally different so far. To begin things, Chelsea signed Enzo Maresca as the new head coach for the Blues. Noni Madueke has featured in the five out of the six games that Chelsea have played this season so far. The 22-year-old has started all the matches so for. Madueke has also scored 4 goals in his five appearances this season, including a hat-trick against Wolves, and one goal in the UEFA Conference league.

It’s been a great start for Noni Madueke under the new manager in this season. Chelsea will be delighted if the Englishman is able to continue this form for the rest of the season.

His brilliant performance at the club level also earned him a position in the England squad, as he made his national team debut last month against Finland in the UEFA Nations League. The new manager of the England national team, Lee Carsley, praised Noni Madueke and his recent form. He said that Madueke is a really good guy and has carried on where he left off at Chelsea. All these factors made Noni Madueke an “untouchable” player right now as Chelsea believe that he will gradually become one of the most crucial players in the squad.
