Federico Valverde seen as the future of Real Madrid

Federico Valverde is one of Real Madrid’s most prized assets at the moment. The Uruguayan has shone for the Los Blancos in recent years.

Although Vincius Jr has taken the spotlight as the hottest youngster at the Bernabeu, Valverde has shown himself to be no less than his teammate. An energetic midfielder, the 24-year-old has often been filling in on the right-wing. He notably provided the assist for Vinicius in the final against Liverpool, which proved to be the winner.

Valverde is dynamic and versatile. He is a good blend of physicality and technicality and can provide both steel and control in the midfield. Along with Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, he is seen as the future of the Madrid midfield.

Real Madrid have been blessed with one of the finest trios in football: Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro. However, their era seems to be coming to an end. Casemiro has departed this summer, and the other two are ageing. The Los Blancos will hope that they have proper successors to make the transition smooth. And given their trio of young prodigies, it looks like they are doing that quite well.

Interest in Valverde

The quality of Federico Valverde makes him an integral part of this new era. And that is why Florentino Perez has outrightly rejected any offer for the young midfielder.

It shouldn’t be shocking that Valverde has attracted the attention of clubs across Europe. Several English teams have made offers of nearly nine figures for him, according to El Debate.

The Uruguayan, though, has been designated untouchable by the Real Madrid hierarchy. While Valverde may be excelling on the right flank at the moment, it appears that his long-term future belongs in the middle of the park after Toni Kroos and Luka Modric hang their boots.
