Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez has reportedly declined Atletico Madrid’s offer for Liverpool.
Fermin Lopez to reject other clubs for Liverpool ?
Spanish giants Barcelona are expecting few exits during the summer transfer window. One of the possible players to leave is Fermin Lopez. As per reports, he could move to Liverpool in the summer.
The Reds are most likely to win the Premier League this term. Despite their 3-2 loss to Fulham, they still have a comfortable 11 points lead over Arsenal. The Gunners also dropped points at Everton on the weekend. It would be harsh for Liverpool, if they drop few more points in the remaining games in the league.
However, few of their stars could be heading out of the club at the end of this campaign. Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have a contract until the end of this season only.
Alexander-Arnold is heavily linked with Real Madrid. He is most likely to leave the PL side in June. While there are talks with Van Dijk and Salah over contract extensions. Although, there are no new updates on that.
Meanwhile, Spanish reports suggest that Barca’s Fermin Lopez has declined Atletico Madrid’s offer. But, he is open to joining the Reds this summer.
The youngster turns down Atletico’s offer
As per reports, Diego Simeone’s side are interested in the Spain international. Atletico are planning to bring him to Metropolitano for the next season. They have already made contact with him, but he prefers Arne Slot’s club over the La Liga side.
The Spanish youngster has had very limited game time under head coach Hansi Flick. Therefore, if things remain same, he will be looking for other options. Plenty of other clubs in Europe are also monitoring the 21-year-old midfielders movements.
So, now the midfielder has to choose if he wants to stay or leave for another team in June.
