Fred Vasseur has assured us that the atmosphere of the Ferrari team is perfect as we prepare for the 2023 season opener.
Ferrari team underwent a change of leadership with Fred Vasseur coming in to replace Mattia Binotto.
The new team boss has so far adapted to his role well. Regardless, it will be interesting to see if Ferrari repeats their mistakes from the last season or not.
Anyways, the three-day pre-season testing in Bahrain officially ended on Saturday. There was a lot to learn for the teams especially Ferrari who will try to bounce back from the heartbreak of 2022.
The testing overall was pretty decent for the Scuderia. Vasseur also assured that the team is positive for the upcoming challenges. Although Red bull seemed pretty fast compared to the Scarlett Ferrari, Vasseur seemed satisfied with the three-day programme’s results.
“It has been three intense days of work for everyone in the team. We have scanned a number of items on the car and ticked many of the boxes of our programme, without worrying about lap times or what the others have been doing, simply focusing on ourselves,” said Vasseur.
“The main target was getting as much mileage under our belt as possible and we did that, although it’s also true that you always want to do more and have more time. But it’s the same for everyone. Whenever we managed to put everything together the performance seemed to be there, but we are clearly still in the process of getting to know the car so it’s too early to say anything.
“The mood in the team is perfect and we are in a good shape to start this long season.”
