Afghanistan, Six Sports

Afghanistan is currently plagued by Taliban attacks. The Taliban have taken over the entire country with the escape of the President himself. And because of this, there is uncertainty in Afghan cricket as well.

Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, two of Afghanistan’s best cricketers, are currently playing in The Hundred Tournament in England.

Rashid is playing for Trent Rockets, and Mohammad Nabi is playing for London Spirits. But will Nabi and Rashid come to play in IPL after this tournament? This raises big questions. Not only that, but spinner Mujib Ur Rahman is also in the IPL.

BCCI to assure the availabilty of Afghanistan Cricketers

The message was received from the BCCI. A board source told PTI, “It will be too soon to comment on this. For us, nothing has changed yet and we hope Rashid and other Afghan players will be part of the IPL. ”

All three Afghanistan players are now plating for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 edition. Rashid is one of the key players for the franchise. While the tournament will be resuming in the UAE, having Nabi in the middle will be a huge advantage.

The BCCI will discuss the matter with the Afghanistan Cricket Board. As if those players miss the IPL, SRH will be hugely affected.

Now let’s see, will Rashid-Nabira return to their families in Afghanistan on August 21 after The Hundred? Or the BCCI will bring them from Manchester to Dubai on the same charter flight with the Indo-England cricketers on September 15.
