Mercedes driver George Russell came together with now Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso on New year’s eve.
George Russell and Fernando Alonso may be the opponents on track but teamed up for a wild partying night on new year’s eve.
The duo was spotted dancing with cigars in their mouths in a photo posted by Russell’s girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt. Neither of the two seemed to care about the world. Both didn’t stop dancing even for the photos.
Russell, who joined Mercedes this year got his maiden win in Formula 1 winning the Brazilian Grand Prix. Russell later uploaded the same photo on his story too along with a caption saying “2023”. According to reports, the Briton and his girlfriend dined at a fancy restaurant with friends before the party.
W series champion Jamie Chadwick was also present at the party.
Fans were also extremely excited to see the pictures of Russell and Alonso together. One user commented:
“Why am I not surprised that Georgie boy grooving to the music looks exactly like I imagined it to be?”

George Russell has become a driver to watch out for after his 2022 campaign with Mercedes. The 24-year-old finished ahead of his seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton in Championship standings.
The Briton was further named the British Competition Driver of the Year at the annual Autosport Awards in London ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton.
With a resurgent Mercedes looking in sight for 2023, we can expect more race wins coming Russell’s way. Further, we can expect a more close battle between Hamilton and Russell.
