Granit Xhaka going to leave Arsenal in the summer

Granit Xhaka time at the Emirates will be coming to an end in the summer as interest intensifies in the Swiss International.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 30-year-old midfielder is getting closer and closer to leaving Arsenal. The Journalist also shared update on his future.

Xhaka has been in excellent form for Arsenal this season. Mikel Arteta gave him freedom to play further up the pitch as he scored six goals and provided seven assists so far.

The Swiss international may not have been wearing the captain’s armband throughout the season, but he is still a leader on and off the pitch. His presence in the midfield has been monumental for the Gunners this season.

However, Xhaka is now set to leave Arsenal in the summer transfer window. Journalist Florian Plettenberg believes there’s a club in Germany that are eager to sign him before start of the next season.

Despite his excellent campaign for Arsenal, Xhaka will leave and start a new chapter in the next campaign. Reports also suggests that his wife is eager to move back to Germany.

Plettenberg posted on his Twitter handle:-

“News Xhaka: Leverkusen is still pushing to sign him! It’s looking very good.

“Alonso wants him as a top leader. Understand that Xhaka wants to take on another challenge this summer. But he’s totally focused on Arsenal now.

“Price valuation of around €15m [£13m]. No negotiations between the clubs yet.”

Granit Xhaka will leave Arsenal with his reputation at his highest peak since joining the club.
