According to Euro Sport, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have concerns over Erling Haaland injury before start of next season. Manchester City are the current defending champions of Premier League. They must be the most hated club in London after they beat Arsenal for title twice in a row. Arsenal end up as runners up both times in intense title race. Many football fans believe Manchester City are so good that Arsenal manage to bottle the title multiple times. Manchester City have now won the Premier League title four times in a row completing the quadruple. They also managed to win the title six times in last seven years only losing to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp. This is some serious domination by Pep Guardiola and his squad. Many football fans blame Pep Guardiola of turning football boring. It is a big question who will stop Pep Guardiola in next season.
Manchester City also managed to win treble in previous season. This achievement can label the Manchester City team as unstoppable. However last season we saw this is far from true. Manchester City lost to Real Madrid in Champions League quater finals last season. The match went to an intense penalty shootout which was won by Real Madrid by Rudiger winning goal. Manchester City also ended up losing the FA cup final against their city rivals Manchester United. This match may have managed to save the job of Man United’s boss Erik Ten Hag. Pep Guardiola when asked in a recent interview on if he’s planning to leave Manchester City told he will be staying but not for very long. Pep Guardiola’s tactics are also considered to be too complex and his players are called “system players”. Many Man City players were unable to perform well in Euro 24 this summer.
Pep Guardiola concern over Haaland injury in pre season
Many Man City players like Phil Foden, Bernado Silva were not able to perform at their full potential in Euro 24 campaign. All Manchester City players except Rodri gave a disappointing performance this international break. Now the players will be returning for the pre season. Manchester City had a rather quiet summer transfer window till now. They only managed to sign Savio from Girona till now as their only signing. Manchester City’s striker Erling Haaland did not feature in international break this summer after Norway did not make it to the Euros. The forward is being criticized for his inability to score in big games last season. Many fans believe that Haaland only scores against weaker teams and do not show up when it matters. Haaland was unable to perform in both the legs against Real Madrid against defender Antonio Rudiger.
Manchester City are currently on pre season tour. Erling Haaland was involved in Manchester City’s game against Barcelona. The game ended in a 2-2 draw but was a concerning one for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola decided to take off Erling Haaland at half time due to what looks like an injury for the forward. Erling Haaland has been involved in all three games of Manchester City’s pre season tour. The forward was substituted in all the games however this time it looked like a unintentional substitution. Jack Grealish also gave some decent performances in the pre season after being the score sheet. Manchester City’s youngsters are also performing well with the chances given. Pep Guardiola will be expecting players like Rodri and Julian Alvarez to join with the team. Youngster like O’Reilly and Bobb are making good use of chances given. Man City will face Chelsea in their opening match.
