Chelsea are on the brink of departing with their summer recruit Hakim Ziyech. Aston Villa and Everton have emerged as potential suitors for the forward player. The forward’s time at Chelsea looks to be numbered. The Blues have splashed enough money to sign new players this transfer window. Moreover, they have already signed six players so far and are planning on adding more players. Therefore aside from balancing the team, they also need to make space to register the new players. They would need to register those players to their Champions League squad. One player who is linked with a move is Hakim Ziyech. The player is deemed a world-class playmaker. With Chelsea signing more forward players, Ziyech looks like the odd one out. Therefore the player could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea could sell Hakim Ziyech in the next transfer window

Chelsea are willing to sell the player for as little as €20m in the next summer transfer window. The Blues had bought the player for about £38m from Ajax back in 2020. Nevertheless, Hakim Ziyech is the one being the scapegoat here. Five suitors have emerged for the player. AC Milan and Roma have emerged as new suitors. However, AC Milan cannot afford a permanent deal for the player. Whereas Roma cannot match Ziyech’s weekly wages. Sky Sports journalist commented,

“Quite a lot of interest in a few of their [Chelsea’s] players. One of the main ones is Hakim Ziyech.”

He further added,

“Sky Italy have been telling us that Roma have been holding talks with Ziyech’s representatives. The only issue is that Hakim Ziyech is on around £100,000-a-week. Roma can’t stretch to paying those kinds of wages for him.”

Other clubs have also shown interest in signing the player.

Newcastle United have already shown interest in the player when the news of him being on the market emerged. Everton and Aston Villa have emerged as a new suitor for Hakim Ziyech. However, both clubs are desperate to sign the player before this transfer window ends. However, they have not made an official bid for the player yet. It will be interesting to see how the future of Ziyech turns out in the next few months.
