West Ham United have made a positive start to the summer transfer market. Julen Lopetegui has been very busy sorting the available players along with addition of new ones. Hammers have already made two signing and are now working hard to complete three more deals. Out of the three, two are outgoings while one player will be arriving at the London stadium.

Julen Lopetegui revealed that he wants to sign two more defenders along with one striker. The club are heavily linked with Max Kilman who captained Lopetegui’s side last season. Now the reports are concrete that Hammers are looking for new midfielder.

West Ham wanted to sign Girona’s Aleix Garcia. However Bayer Leverkusen have hijacked the move and made the Spaniard their new midfielder. Quickly the London based club focused their attention on Watford’s Ismael Kone. Kone was available for around £12 – £15 million. However Hammers again fell short as their plan was once again hijacked. Roberto De Zerbi who recently took charge of Marseille has signed Kone and it was announce officially.

Hammers along with signing new deals, desperately want to sell some of their existing stars. They only have £51.5 million available to spend before selling some of the players. According to recent reports, the London based club is looking to part ways with two players who spent the last season on loan. Along with outgoing, a new defender is set to join the Premier League side.

West Ham linked with 27 year old defender

Southampton have achieved promotion and are back in Premier League. They are set to sign Turkish full back Bright Osayi-Samuel. It is reported that Southampton have offered £6.5 million for the full back which will very likely accepted by Fenerbahce. However arrival of Osayi-Samuel may be followed by departure of Kyle Walker-Peters.

Therefore, West Ham could use this situation to their benefit and sign Kyle Walker-Peters. According to reports, Walker-Peters has already agreed to move to London stadium. The 27 year old played an important role in Southampton’s defensive line. He played 46 Championship matches and scored 2 times along with assisting 4 times. Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma are two defenders who will make ways away from Hammers. However it was revealed that Zouma rejected the move to Saudi clubs last season. If he does the same again this season it may cause a big trouble for the club.

Hammers set to complete two more away deals

Flynn Downes spent his 2023/24 season on a loan move to Southampton. He appeared 36 times for Southampton in the Championship. Following, Southampton are reported to make the deal permanent. At first Hammers asked £15 million for Downes. However due to signing Walker-Peters, the deal is expected to earn Hammers around £10 million.

Besides, another player who was sent on loan by Hammers was Said Benrahma. Benrahma was sent on loan to Lyon where he appeared in twelve Ligue 1 appearances. Benrahma spent half season with Lyon and in the 12 matched he played in league he scored 3 goals alongs with assisting other 3. Lyon are reported to make Benrahma their permanent player. Hammers could be able to earn £12.3 million from the deal which will boost their available spending balance. Sky Sports revealed that the Benrahma deal will be completed in this week.

Hammers could boost their spending balance upto £75 million if these two deals are completed. However its still uncertain wheter that would be enough as the club is linked with 11 other signings.
