Harry Kane recently took to social media to answer a few questions from fans on the occasion of his 10 years in the Premier League.

There were a host of questions, ranging from the toughest defenders he has faced, to fantasy football and his favourite teammates.

When asked about the best defender he has faced, he replied that John Terry and Georgio Chiellini were at the top of his list.

I think early on in my career facing John Terry. Just a really smart defender, knew where to put his body, knew how to stop my runs. So that was a great learning curve. Then Chiellini. Obviously played against him against Italy and Juventus. Same thing, really smart, strong, physical. So them two stand out.

Harry Kane and Terry have faced other numerous times during London derbies. One of Kane’s best performances came against him on New Years’ day 2015. Kane scored a brace en route a 5-3 win. Kane has faced the Italian legend Chiellini as well, notably in a Champions League Round-of-16 tie in 2018, and more recently, in the final of Euro 2020. On both occasions, the center-back emerged victorious in the end.

Kane later revealed his favourite goal, which was the header he scored against arch-rivals Arsenal in the 2014/15 season. It was at Spurs’ old stadium, and Kane says it was a moment that he will never forget.

In my first North London derby we won 2-1 at White Hart Lane. Gotta be this one! I scored a header in the 88th or 89th minute and I think just the whole occasion. It being my first North London Derby, being at White Hart Lane, and to score the winner in the last minute. It was a moment I’ll never forget.
