“Held up”: Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou lauds one of his team’s superstar

Tottenham Hotspur faced Brighton in a fierce clash in the Premier League on Sunday. Despite going a goal down, the Lilywhites were able to come back at North London. Now, Ange Postecoglou has given its credit to skipper Heung Min Son.

A late goal from Brennan Johnson was yet another dramatic comeback for the home side. Though, it was the result of a brilliant ball by the Korean. Of course, the return of talisman has proved out to be very crucial when it came to the score line against the Seagulls. Speaking about the quality of son, the manager Ange said that it was thew quality of the forward that made the goal look so easy.

“It’s fair to say that we are still a work in progress but we had a world class player in Son [Heung-min], who makes the most difficult ball look simple to set up Brennan [Johnson]. Going into the game we looked at the squad and knew we had the ability to change it up. It’s fair to say that held up.”

The South Korean is easily one of the best buys in the Premier League history. Although he does not have trophies in his cabinet, no one can question the impact he brings to the squad. Moreover, he is realising his captain’s role as well after Harry Kane left. The winger has taken up the mantle of being the main man at Tottenham Hotspur.

His appearance as a substitute was a great cameo for Postecoglou’s side as the winner was the product of his individual brilliance. Son, then, is going to vital for Tottenham if they are to finish in the top four.
