ICC recently released the list of the latest ICC Men’s T20 rankings. Opener KL Rahul was the only batter to feature in the list of Top 10 after an incredible run in International Cricket in the last few months.
Pakistan captain retained his top spot with a rating of 809 while Dawid Malan and Aiden Markram followed him in No. 2 and No. 3 respectively after decent performances in the T20 World Cup.

A Look at the latest ICC Men’s T20 rankings
South African batter Rassie van der Dussen, who impressed all with his fearless batting, gained a spot and reached the 9th position. Australian skipper Aaron Finch and English T20 superstar Jos Buttler took similar leaps of 1 spot and are currently ranked 6th and 8th respectively.
Former Indian T20 captain Virat Kohli, who missed the NZ series at home, lost his place in the Top 10. He is now positioned at 11th in the list with a rating of 657. New skipper Rohit Sharma was in sublime form in his first series as captain.
In addition, he was adjudged the ‘Player of the Series’. He took a massive jump of 11 places and is now ranked 13th. Suryakumar Yadav, the new sensation in the Indian dressing room, finds his place at 59th position. Indian Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant remains at 62.
No place for Bumrah in the Top 20
Coming to the bowlers, Sri Lankan leggie Wanindu Hasaranga tops the chart replacing left-arm chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi who now holds the second spot. The list of ICC Men’s T20 rankings for bowlers clearly shows the dominance of wrist spinners like Rashid Khan, Adam Zampa, and Adil Rashid. Not a single fast bowler could make it to the Top 5.
Josh Hazlewood, who was not well known for his bowling in the shortest format, gave a stern reply to his critics by being the top-ranked fast bowler in the entire list achieving the 6th spot.
Unfortunately, except Bhuvneshwar Kumar (19th) none of the Indian bowlers could find a place in the Top 20. Right arm seamer Deepak Chahar improved his ranking by 19 spots and currently holds the 41st position.
