Ind vs SA: Ravi Shastri mentions his playing XI for the first T20I

Former India player and head coach, Ravi Shastri has chosen his playing XI for the first T20I against South Africa.

Neither did Shastri pick Venkatesh Iyer nor Dinesh Karthik in his playing XI for the first T20I.

He wants a more dynamic team with more youngsters such as Ruturaj Gaikwad. He also said that India may allow Ishan Kishan to open or bat at No.3.

Shastri went on to pick Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya in the middle order for India.

In the bowling department, he picked Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel.

He has nonetheless, left the options open in terms of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik in the pace department.

Last year, when India went to tour South Africa, they lost badly in the ODIs and Tests.

So, this series is crucial for India to prove themselves mighty against the Proteas.

India will also break many records in the first T20I itself at the national capital on the 9th of June.
