With the series now in India’s bag, the visitors would now like to inflict even more damage on the hosts.
All of India’s players have been performing and have done exceptionally well in this ODI series. Be it Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson etc., each and every player has done his job to perfection. Even the bowlers have been in very good form in this ODI series.
Without the services of the senior players, India have done well and managed to win the series 2-0. The third ODI is now dead rubber but it can be a vital chance for West Indies to win the final game so that they can break the jinx of losing ODI games.
The hosts have been outplayed by the visitors on both occasions and the games have been thrillers no doubt. In the first ODI, Mohammed Siraj and India survived the scare of losing the match as they successfully defended 15 runs in the last over. In the second ODI, the heroics of Axar Patel towards the end helped India hunt down the target of 312 runs with ease.
During the post-match press conference, West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran looked very disappointed with the loss and said that they want to win an ODI match very badly now. West Indies would have to do something very special tomorrow to stop India from winning the final ODI.
For India, it is all just a matter of playing really well and maintaining the right balance with both ball and bat to ensure that they clean-sweep West Indies tomorrow.
Pitch Report
As the match is at the same venue, so the pitch will not be undergoing much change. The conditions will more or less remain clear for tomorrow for both teams. We can expect another high-scoring contest at Trinidad.
IND vs WI, 3rd ODI Probable Playing XI:
India
For India, they need not make any changes to their winning combination. If they do want to tinker around their batting order, they can then put in Ruturaj Gaikwad in place of Shubman Gill for the last ODI. As for the wicketkeeper-batsman, their preferential choice would be Sanju Samson as he is a left-hander and has also performed in both the ODIs. So, Ishan Kishan may not make the cut for the final match.
In the bowling order, India may introduce Arshdeep Singh in place of Avesh Khan. The availability of Ravindra Jadeja is still unsure as he was ruled out of the last two matches of the series due to a knee injury.
Dhawan would also not like to compromise on the variety of his spin attack by asking Yuzvendra Chahal to rest.

For the hosts, none of their combinations have worked for them. The bowlers have been effective only in patches in both the ODIs, while the batsmen have done a good job in getting them to scores of over 300. Although they have capable players in the team, they haven’t just clicked together as a team.
West Indies would desperately need the services of Jason Holder for the final ODI of the series.
