The Future Tour Program cycle for 2022-23 will include a 3 match ODI series between Afghanistan and India in March next year. As per the program, Afghanistan is set to play 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is, and 2 Test series in the upcoming two calendar years.
“OUT OF THE 52 MATCHES INCLUDED IN AFGHANISTAN’S SCHEDULE FROM 2022 TO 2023, THERE WILL BE 37 ODIS, 12 T20IS AND 3 TESTS. CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT AFGHANISTAN WILL BE PLAYING 7 ODI SERIES IN THE ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP SUPER LEAGUE, AS WELL AS WILL PARTICIPATE IN FOUR MAJOR LIMITED-OVERS EVENTS SUCH AS ASIA CUP 2022 (T20 FORMAT), ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022, THE ASIA CUP 2023 (ODI FORMAT) & THE ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2023,” THE ACB STATED IN AN OFFICIAL RELEASE.
With the Asia Cup and World T20 in 2022, a lot is on the platter for the fans from both nations. The ACB is in talks with the PCB as well to conduct the postponed September 2021 series in near future. While India will be playing multiple tours abroad and will be gearing up the T20 championship after a forgettable outing in UAE.
