A lot of controversies have arisen so far in the ongoing PayTm Test series between India and England. It may be team selection, pitch conditions and many more. A new controversy is in limelight regarding the Third Umpire’s Decision in the Third Test, Day 1.

This match has been playing in recently inaugurated Narendra Modi Stadium (Previously known as Motera Stadium). In this match England have complained that the Third Umpire has taken decisions unusually quickly. They also had talked with the match referee Mr. Javagal Srinath also.

The issues arose during the batting of Indian team in the 1st innings. Shubhman Gill seemed to be caught out while Stuart Broad was bowling. Stokes caught the ball in slips very close to ground. Field umpires referred the decision to the TV umpire Shamsuddin and gave the soft signal Out.

But the TV umpire just saw the incident from one angle and became confident enough to reverse the field umpire’s decision. Gill was stated Not Out as there was nothing beneath the ball when Stokes claimed to grab it. This made England Skipper Joe Root and other Englishmen unhappy.

Later England had asked for an appeal claiming to stump out Rohit Sharma. In this case also the TV umpire judged the scenario from a single angle and made his decision in the favor of the Indian Side. The England team, already frustrated with their batting ,did not accepted these things positively.

At the second day of the test India has won the match by 10 wickets.
