After a tough draw in Kanpur and a convincing victory in Mumbai, India thrashed the Kiwis both in T20Is and Tests. India even reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Test rankings dethroning the Blackcaps.

Ravichandran Ashwin bagged another Player of the Series trophy for his clinical performance in the series. Ashwin now has climbed to second place in the ICC Test rankings with a rating of 883. Ashwin is also No.2 in the list of all-rounders with Jason Holder leading the charts. Ashwin’s partner-in-crime Ravindra Jadeja slipped 2 spots and is currently placed at 4.

Mayank Agarwal climbed to the 11th spot courtesy of his phenomenal knocks of 150 and 62 in the Mumbai Test. Pujara and Rahane are placed at 17th and 28th positions after yet another dismal show with the bat.

Shubman Gill gained 22 places and reached 46th position. Shreyas Iyer who made his debut in the recently concluded series is at 66th place post his stellar century in Kanpur. Axar Patel who is in a dream run with the red ball rose to the 25th spot. Pacer Ishant Sharma retained his place at 21st position while counterpart Umesh Yadav slipped a place to 30. Siraj’s impressive spells helped him ascend to the 41st spot.

Ajaz Patel the left arm superstar for the Kiwis shocked the Indian batters by taking all ten wickets in a single inning. This miracle earned him an entry to the elite club of Jim Laker and Anil Kumble. His spectacular spell reflected in his ranking as he took a huge leap of 24 places to reach the 34th spot.
