India Women’s team announces T20I and ODI squads for England tour

BCCI has announced India Women’s team squads for their upcoming tour of England in September.

The women’s team recently won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games. In the T20I squad, youngster KP Navgire has earned her maiden call while Harleen Deol and Yastika Bhatia are not a part of the squad.

Additionally, Richa Ghosh has made a comeback to the Indian T20I squad for this tour.

In the ODI squad, we see the return of Jhulan Goswami and Jemimah Rodrigues but Poonam Yadav misses out.

However, Jhulan Goswami missed out on the Sri Lanka series previously.

During this tour, India will be playing six-white ball games against England which involve three T20Is and three ODIs.

Moreover, these games are part of the ICC Championship for Women.

All the women’s teams will now be rated based on this new system proposed by the ICC this year.
