Indian all-rounder suffers injury ahead of Zimbabwe tour

Just before the much-awaited comeback for Washington Sundar. He has suffered from a shoulder injury. This injury came while playing for Lancashire in the Royal London one-day cup. Sundar has had really bad luck while coming to injuries.

Washington Sundar recently while playing the match suffered, from a niggle in the shoulder. Washington Sundar was playing a match on 11th Aug in Manchester. Sundar, however, got medical assistance on the ground itself but he had to move out of the field. Sundar was fielding against Worcestershire when he landed right on his left hand. However, currently, the seriousness of the injury is unknown.

The all-rounder has always been talked about his Injuries. The injury has now taken the stake at Sundar’s selection in the playing 11 for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour. The player had been named in the squad after a very long time, this team is going to play 3 ODI which starts on 18th Aug. Washington Sundar last played for the country back in Feb when the senior team was playing against West Indies at Home. The player was last seen playing in IPL just before he brought up an injury, making him play only 9 matches for Sunrises Hyderabad.

Before playing Domestic cricket in England. Sundar recovered from the injury only after he had gone through the rehabilitation process at NCA. He has brought 8 wickets in 2 first-class matches in country Division 1 after that he played 3 List A matches in Royal London one-day Cup. Washington Sundar was India’s top contender during last year’s T20 world cup. However, again finger injury during the second phase of IPL. He had to be dropped from the plans. Sundar played and returned to the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Tamil Nadu. However, he missed South Africa Tour due to Covid-19.
