Pakistan duo Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman have undergone injury. They are currently in London under treatment and rehabilitation. Shaheen has turned out to be a great bowler for Pakistan. Fakhar on the other hand is a good left-handed batsman who plays in the middle order. Pakistan did miss Shaheen’s service in Asia Cup 2022. With t20 World Cup around the corner, Pakistan will want this duo to get fit as early as possible.
Injury Update of Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman
Shaheen sustained a knee injury before Asia Cup and got ruled out for a brief period of time. Fakhar also sustained a right knee injury while fielding during Asia Cup and got ruled out. Shaheen is under rehabilitation and Fakhar is under treatment in London. PCB is taking care of all requirements and making sure they are able to come back to playing 11 as early as possible. The star pace bowler is showing excellent recovery and most probably join the main team. Fakhar will miss the ongoing home series and will join Shaheen for treatment in London.
Shaheen has played 40 t20i matches with an economy of 7.75 and an average of 24.
Fakhar has played 71 t20i matches with a strike rate of 129 and an average of 21.
