Three times Indian Premier League Champion Chennai Super Kings are going to start their campaign against Delhi Capitals tomorrow. The match will be played at a neutral venue in Mumbai.

Inside Delhi Capitals:

Since the last two seasons DC have been having good outcomes in the tournament. The team led by Rishabh Pant this year will be looking to lift the trophy this year. They had added experienced Steve Smith into the squad this year.

English Pacer Tom Curran and wicket-keeper batsman Sam Billings are also on this side this year. Aussie all-rounder Marcos Stoinis can be a huge player this year for DC in IPL as well.

Axar Patel is now in quarantine due to the positive result in the Covid test. Amit Mishra can spin the bowl with Ravichandran Ashwin in the first couple of matches for DC.

As the pace duo Rabada and Nortje will not be available for selection there’s a chance for Chris Woakes to be featured in the playing XI. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma also can be seen on the pitch in the first match as well.

Inside Chennai Super Kings:

CSK had brought Jason Behrendroff recently but he will be available in some days. They also shopped Moeen Ali and Krishnappa Gowtham but the venue of the first match was not likely to favour spin.

The return of Suresh Raina had boosted the team’s balance. The inclusion of Chteswar Pujara was a surprising move from CSK.

This year we might see Ruturaj Gaikwad more often than Uthappa because of his outstanding domestic performance. Ambati Rayudu, Dhoni, and Jadeja will get the support of Moeen Ali in the middle of this year.

At the lower-order, Bravo is there but he may leave his spot later for young Sam Curran who had played a brilliant knock at the last ODI against India.

In bowling, CSK have to rely on Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, and Lungi Ngidi for fast bowling. Ngidi will not be available due to mandatory quarantine protocol. Imran Tahir has to wait for his chance too this season.
