IPL 2021-MI vs RR: Preview and Predicted Eleven

After an unpleasant session in Chennai, Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Delhi. Both the teams are looking to earn these valuable two points to survive in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

MI are currently at the fourth position in the points table. They have got 4 points in the last 5 matches. Their key players are not in good form. They will be looking to gain some momentum by winning this match against RR.

In spite of having injury blows and players leaving due to pandemic, RR are still looking to win the title this year. The Indian players are trying hard. They will also look to beat MI in this match and climb up on the table. They also have four points but their net run rate is lower than MI.

Inside MI:

The opening is not going well as Quinton is not in a good form. Rohit is also taking many balls to score big. Only Suryakumar Yadav is showing good batting skill in the top.

Mumbai Indians will face RR in IPL

Ishan Kishan is in the shadows of his last year’s performance. The Pandya brothers are also struggling to perform. Hardik has not bowled yet. Krunal has not impress that much with the ball.

The bowlers are doing well. They have brought Jayant Yadav with Rahul Chahar and both are doing great. Bumrah with Boult is doing the fast bowling but struggling to get wickets early.

Inside RR:

Jaiswal has replaced Vohra in the last match and played good cricket. He has shown a good intent to utilize the field restriction during the powerplay. Buttler is simply out of form. The skipper Samson has to find consistency in his performance.

Sanju will be looking to win against MI

Shivam Dube is in good shape. Tewatia is also giving a good all-round performance. David Miller also has to take more responsibilities as an experienced Overseas player. The most expensive player Morris is proving his worth in almost every match.

Chetan Sakariya is a great discovery this year. He is playing good cricket. Unadkat and Mustafizur also bowling well and will be looking to bowl out MI early.

MI vs RR-what to expect:

The pitch is likely to be flat in the first few games at the venue. However, with the match being an afternoon affair, and dew unlikely to play a part. Winning the toss teams could opt to bat.

 Heat is also going to play a part with temperature likely to hover around the 40-degree Celcius mark through the course of play.

Probable XI of MI:

There may not be any changes in the playing XI. Quinton and Rohit will open. Ishan Kishan and SKY will be the middle-order batsmen. Hardik, Pollard, and Krunal will be the lower order.

We may see Jayant again with Chahar. Piyush Chawla may also feature on this venue. Boult and Bumrah will be fast bowlers.

MI team against RR:  Quinton de Kock (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Rahul Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult

Probable XI of RR:

RR will also stick with their winning combination. Jaiswal and Buttler will open. Samson will bat at no. 3. Miller can come up or Dube will bat at no. 4. Riyan Parag after that.

Morris will take care of the lower. Rahul Tewatia is there to play match-turning cameos. If they want a spin option Gopal will be playing. Otherwise, Unadkat will join Sakariya. Mustafizur will be the overseas fast bowler.
