Match no. 9 of the Indian T20 League sees a Dream11 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI). One side is yet to win a game and the other has already opened the winning account in its previous match. Mumbai will be high in confidence coming into this match as in their last game they won from a position where they were completely down and out.

On the other hand, Hyderabad, who were in a contrasting position as compared to Mumbai. They surrender from a position they should have won. Overall Mumbai looked better equipped in all the departments but both the teams have won equal games in their head-to-head battle.

It would be interesting to see if SRH could open their winning account from this match or MI keep them waiting for a win in this year’s tournament.

Match Details:

Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Venue: MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

Live Streaming: Star Sports Network, Disney+ Hotstar

Time: 7:30 PM IST

What to Expect (PITCH REPORT):

The pitch in Chidambaram is not a batting-friendly track to bat on. The last two matches that were played on this pitch saw batsmen struggling and working hard for each and every run. As the pitch is becoming a little tacky chastising look a bit difficult rather than batting first.

Probable Playing XIs for MI vs SRH:

Mumbai Indians: Quinton de Kock (wk), Rohit Sharma (c), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieran Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Marco Jansen/ Jimmy Neesham, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner (c), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Vijay Shankar/ Kedar Yadav, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem, T Natarajan.

Top Picks and Captains choice for MI vs SRH Dream11 Match:

Bowlers:

Rashid Khan: He is one of those rare breeds, who can not only pick crucial wickets but also at an economical rate. In the 2 matches, he has played this season, he has picked 4 wickets conceding just 42 runs. He is a must-pick in the bowling department.

Jasprit Bumrah: He might have failed to pick up a wicket in the last match but he is one of those who can take the game away from his oppositions. He picked up 2 wickets in the first match and always looks hungry to send the batsmen back to the pavilion.

Batsmen:

Rohit Sharma: He can be a nightmare for the bowlers once he can get himself in. He looked in good knick in the last match but just couldn’t finish his innings in the way his team wanted him to and would be looking to do it this time.

Suryakumar Yadav: He is the batsman in form for Mumbai right now. He fall shot from a half-century in the first game but he backed himself up in the last game scoring 56 runs off just 36 balls. He looks in decent form and is a must-pick for this match as well.

David Warner: He would be disappointed as he could not take his team over the line against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The results might be contrasting with the number of runs he scored in the last match. He scored a blazing 54 runs in just 37 deliveries.

Wicketkeepers:

Jonny Bairstow: He might not be able to help his team win in the last match but he scored an amazing half-century in the first match. He should be the first pick in the keeping department in today’s match.

All- Rounders:

Jason Holder: He showed his caliber with the ball in the last match picking up 3 wickets. He can also disrupt the ball given the West Indian talent with the on the other side of the pitch.

Krunal Pandya: He looks to be in form of his life. He played well in the series against England and continued his form in the IPL as well. He had a wonderful game against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last match as he helped his team to achieve a respectable total scoring 15 off just 9 balls and also picked up a crucial wicket conceding just 13 runs on the other side of the pitch.
