The 14th season of the Indian T20 League will have its second Friday and it will witness the Dream11 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). PBKS had a narrow escape against Rajasthan Royals in their first match Punjab would be thanking their stars that Sanju Samson’s last hit didn’t clear the ropes.

On the other side of the pitch, we have CSK, who were simply outplayed in their first match and comprehensively thumped by Delhi Capitals. Chennai’s bowling attack in the opening match looked flavourless and struggled throughout for control against Delhi. However knowing MS Dhoni, he won’t be ringing in a lot of changes so early in the tournament but the players need to start delivering sooner rather than later.

It would be interesting to see if MS Dhoni’s side can bounce back in the second game or will Punjab cling on to another win.

CSK will face PBKS in their second match

Match Details:

Punjab Kings vs Chennai Super Kings

Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

Live Streaming: Star Sports Network, Disney+ Hotstar

Time: 7:30 PM IST

What to Expect (PITCH REPORT):

The pitch at Wankhede is a pleasure to bat on. Apart from the match which was played yesterday the sides have touched down a total of 180 runs in an innings but looking at yesterday’s match one can clearly see some swing in the initial overs. Although the pitch yet looks pretty good to bat on and bowlers will struggle if they didn’t get the pace and bounce from the track.

Due has always played a part in Mumbai and which makes chasing looks like a better option for the teams.

Probable Playing XIs for PBKS vs CSK:

Punjab Kings: Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul (C and WK), Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda, Shahrukh Khan, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith/Chris Jordan, Murugan Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Shami.

Chennai Super Kings:Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf Du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (C and WK), Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar.

Top Picks and Captains choice for PBKS vs CSK Dream11 Match:

Bowlers:

Mohammad Shami: He played his last match after a long time but looking at the way he bowled in the first match it never looked like that. He picked 2 important wickets for his side in the last game and will look to continue his good form in this game as well.

Dwayne Bravo: The West Indian never leaks runs and also can deliver some crucial wickets bowling in the death overs. he only picked 1 wicket in the last game but was the most economical bowler for CSK.

Batsmen:

Suresh Raina: He looked in decent form in the first game. He played well for his fantastic knock of 54 runs in just 36 balls. he is a must-pick.

Deepak Hooda: He played an exceptional knock with the bat in the first match. He scored a furious 64 in just 28 balls striking almost at 230. He looks in good form and can be a game-changer this time as well.

Wicketkeepers:

KL Rahul: He was just 9 short of a blazing century in the first match. He was striking the ball at a strike rate of 182. he scored 91 of just 50 balls. he is a must-pick.

All- Rounders:

Sam Curran: He showed his caliber with the bat in the first match. As he played a cameo of 34 runs. He is a decent bowler who just needs to get his lengths right. He can be handy with the bat as well as with ball too.
