Punjab Kings (PBKS) will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today in the Indian Premier League (IPL) today. From today matches will start in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

PBKS have beat Mumbai Indians in Chennai in their last match. They are currently at fifth position in the points table with 4 points. They will be looking to win and climb up on the table today.

For KKR it is like do or die situation. They have to do something extraordinary to pull themselves out of the bad situation. They are currently at the bottom of the table. On the new venue, they will be looking to come back strongly.

 Inside PBKS:

There is no injury or other physical issue in the team. The concern is going on regarding the middle-order batting. The bowling is doing well but inconsistent. We have seen lots of bowling change already in the team.

Moise Henriques has played the last match and he can be a good option in the middle this time also. The team will be looking to take an overseas fast bowler. But both Jhye and Riley went too expensive in previous outings.

Malan has not introduced yet. He has a great chance to play this match as he did well during the Ind-Eng series on this ground. Bishnoi has done pretty well. K L Rahul will not be interested in bringing two spinners in this match.

Inside KKR:

KKR is struggling very badly this season. There are superstars in the team. But nobody had done much so far. In batting Morgan, Gill is not in form. Russell is inconsistent. DK is taking too many balls to settle.

Shakib and Narine are good with the ball their bat is also silent. Pat Cummins is leaking too many runs. Only Varun is bowling well. Tripathi is performing moderately.

Shivam Mavi bowled well in the last match. We may see Ferguson in the eleven as the pitch may suit the fast bowlers. Karun Nair, Sheldon Jackson are waiting for their turn too.

PBKS vs KKR: Match Details:

PBKS vs KKR: What to expect:

India’s 3-2 T20I series win against England included a total as low as 124 and as high as 224, both posted by the hosts. There were three successful chases while 180-plus totals were defended twice, which might be what the teams will be aiming at, with dew also likely to be a factor.

Also, Ahmedabad has pitches of both red and black soil variety, with the latter offering variable bounce. The kind of pitch being rolled out might influence the make-up of the sides.

Probable XI of PBKS:

There may be not many changes on the side. K L Rahul and Mayank will open. Gayle or Malan can be at no. 3. Pooran may get another chance, Hooda and Shahrukh Khan will continue.

PBKS will be looking to win against KKR

Shami, Arshdeep, and Bishnoi will be playing. Moises will also join them. We may see another overseas fast bowler today.
