West Ham United are currently suffering heavy disappointments in the Premier League under boss David Moyes. The most recent annihilation being a 0-6 defeat to tje hands of Arsenal at home. Considering everything, there are reports suggesting West Ham management may sack the Scot soon.
Sunday’s defeat did feel like a corner was turned, and the noise will now be a little louder. Not only did West Ham lose, but the players also looked bereft of belief or any real instruction. Although, not everything is going downstream for Hammers. They have qualified their Europa League group stage and currently stand a chance for next season’s European spot.
However, with Michael Carrick in the bucket list of managing Hammers, all these defeats only strengthen the belief.
Journalist predicts West Ham plans regarding Moyes
Journalist Jacob Steinberg referred to West Ham’s previous willingness to offer Moyes a new contract, something that appears to have changed after yesterday’s loss. Speaking on X, the journalist said
“Despite positivity last month there’s now no guarantee that West Ham will end up giving David Moyes a new deal. Some still expect him to stay but recent form has changed the mood. Further talks planned later in the season, West Ham hoping to see improvement in results.”
Looking at the current position of the club, it seems that David do deserve some time to mend the situation and comeback firmly. Moreover, he has just made them the Conference League champions last season. If the Hammers really want to make any change in the managerial role, they must wait until the summer arrives.
Though, given the scoreline against the Gunners, it is undoubtedly a concern for Moyes to prove his credentials in front of fans and media as soon as possible.
