Is Thomas Frank the Next Liverpool Manager? His Reaction Will Surprise You!

Premier League manager Thomas Frank issues his verdict on the latest transfer links with Liverpool. The corridors of power at Anfield are in search for a suitable replacement to Jurgen Klopp who will leave the club next season. Although, there are a bunch of names currently cycling in the market for the next Anfield boss.

Bayer Leverkusen manager and former Reds man Xabi Alonso is the most likened candidate for the job recently. Moreover, he is doing a commendable job with German club as they sit top of table with five points clear against Bayern Munich.

Will Thomas Frank be the right fit at Liverpool?

Thomas Frank has been doing a considerable amount of hardwork with Brentford since a couple of years. The Dane was asked by Sky Sports about having his name in the frame for the Reds job. And while he suggested that he cannot help but be honoured to be mentioned, he insisted that he is only focused on his work at the Bees.

There’s a lot of rumours out there. I think we all have kind of an ego. And the ego likes that little sugar. ‘Oh, you’re linked with that, nice. But at the end of the day, I’m at Brentford, very happy here.

Do I have ambitions? Yes. Am I going to stay at Brentford forever? Maybe. Probably not. So who knows what happens in the future. What I know is that I’m here at Brentford and I’m very happy with it.”

The current situation of the club seems as if Frank will be having a mountain to climb if he takes over the club. Obviously, Xabi Alonso is the perfect fit with many boxes matching as well as a fans favourite for the role. However, if Liverpool make a move for Thomas, it will be very hard to turn down the offer for him. Clubs like Liverpool are not a daily calling bases, with Reds having only two managers in the past 12years. There is no question that Frank deserves the opportunity but some supporters may believe that the 50-year may need to prove himself more for an elite club.
