Lionel Messi revisits him to his Copa America victory’s memory. Argentina defeated Brazil in a historic win in the 2021 Copa America final. Angel di Maria scored the only goal which helped Lionel Scaloni’s team to lift the trophy.

Messi had won every trophy possible for Club but he didn’t have an international trophy for Argentina. He was often criticized by fans but he was able to turn his critics into fans last year.

Messi had previously taken Argentina to the 2014 World Cup final which he couldn’t win against Germany. Messi’s team lost to Chile in the 2015 Copa America final after which he took the decision to retire from International football. But he came back from retirement and won the silverware with Argentina.

There were many football pundits doubting whether Argentina could win against Brazil in the final, but Scaloni’s team proved them all wrong. The contest was tight, Brazil had many chances to tie the score but Emi Martinez was there to save.

This win against Brazil made Argentina fans all over the world emotional. Their captain Lionel Messi also couldn’t stop himself from shedding tears of happiness.

Now, Messi’s eyes would be on the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar which starts on 20 November. Argentina’s first match is against Saudi Arabia on 22 November.
