Jamal Musiala on Chelsea’s ‘Future Transfer’ list

Jamal Musiala is on Chelsea’s wishlist for the future. Recent struggle for Chelsea. And the results have shown that manager Enzo Maresca’s team hasn’t been playing well. The Blues have now failed to win their last four Premier League games. Their last win was 2-1 at home to Brentford on December 15th.

Since then they have drawn 0-0 at home to Everton. They lost to rivals Fulham at Stamford Bridge. Saw another defeat away to Ipswich Town. Their new year got off to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

And these results suggest Maresca may not have whetted the Chelsea squad’s appetite just yet. The team is said to be needing major signings to improve the club.

Amongst the players Chelsea are believed to be linked with is Bayern Munich star, Jamal Musiala. Several European so-called giants are circling and the German’s contract situation at the Allianz Arena is less than certain.

Chelsea is one of the clubs ‘keen on a potential move’ for Musiala if his contract situation proves unresolvable. But they will have stiff competition. Both Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested in the young star, as Real Madrid are.

There is no official price tag on Musiala, Football Transfers has him valued at ยฃ90 million.

The Bayern star would, incredibly, be heading back to Stamford Bridge if Chelsea were to manage a move for him. Then he moved back to Germany before he played for the Chelsea academy. He even played for Chelseaโ€™s U18 side three times.

It does seem like a mistake letting Musiala leave as a youngster let’s be honest. Vincent Kompany’s arrival at Bayern this season looks to have only benefited the 21-year-old and the Birmingham-born star is thriving.

Chelsea want Jamal Musiala for Future

The outstanding number he has managed in just 22 games in all competitions, which are 14 goals and six assists.

The Spaniard has returned nine goals and three assists in only 13 appearances for the Bundesliga. He scored and provided an assist in Bayern’s 5-1 win at RB Leipzig last weekend. Before Christmas, their last league game before the holiday.

Musiala helps strengthen Chelsea’s attack. He would leave the Blues’ goal contributions table. With the top spot with his 14 goals and 10 assists. Even surpassing the 19 goals and assists in all competitions of Cole Palmer.

And he would give Chelsea firepower to an already exciting Chelsea attack. In a race where he could be Maresca’s answer to Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid. The Brazilian star has netted 13 goals and helped false nine further assists in 21 appearances across all competitions this season.

Statistically, Musiala and Vinicius Junior are like-for-like players, especially after the two excelled in the new Champions League format, according to FBRef.

Chelsea wants their players back

The two players are very good at silky dribbling skills. Vinicius carries forward 6.0 each game on average, while Musiala averages 5.68. Also, theyโ€™re very creative passers, looking at an average number of key passes per match (3.64 for Musiala and 2.6 for Vinicius).

Musiala and Vinicius are similar. Both are world-class talents and it would be a huge win for Chelsea to sign Musiala. The statistics prove that the German would be a quality addition to the Blues attack and would certainly improve his side.

Even in Bayern’s last top-flight game he scored and assisted in a 5-1 win against RB Leipzig.
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said Musiala ‘is one of the top players in the world’ and who might be the next Chelsea big-ticket signing.
