Jasprit Bumrah surpasses Bhuvneshwar Kumar in wickets tally against England

Jasprit Bumrah, Six Sports

Bumrah’s 3/68 has helped him break fellow pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s record of 19 wickets in a 5-match Test series.

Bumrah now has 21 wickets to his credit and has now set a new world record.

Bhuvi made the record against England in the 2014’s 5-Test match series.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj got 4 wickets in the 5th Test taking his tally to 18 wickets while Mohammed Shami has a tally of 13 while bagging 2 wickets.

Bumrah has still a full day today to increase his wicket tally.

In the list of the top 5 Indian bowlers, the pacers are dominating it while only a single spinner can be seen.

Although India has a very good history of spinners, only Subhash Gupte was able to amass a 5-match wicket high of 17 wickets in the year 1959.

The rest of them are contemporary bowlers in Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah.
