India Women batting star, Jemimah Rodrigues will not be playing The Women’s Hundred this year as she has suffered an injury.

Rodrigues, the 21-year-old was a part of the Northern Superchargers this season and also smashed a half-century in the first game.

She was also in great form for India in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games. Rodrigues was able to score 146 runs in her five matches and was the team’s highest run-scorer.

We now also know that Jemimah sat out in England’s innings due to a strained hand.

Harmanpreet Kaur mentioned that it was a slight strain in Jemimah’s hand.

Jemimah did play against Australia in the final of the Commonwealth Games where she made 31 runs from as many balls.

However, the Women in Blue could not clinch the gold medal due to a nine-run loss.

Now, in place of Rodrigues, Ireland’s Gaby Lewis will be taking part in all the matches of the Northern Superchargers.

Northern Superchargers have only a single win in this season of The Hundred and are fifth in the points table.

The Indian Women’s Cricket Team received a lot of praise from everywhere in India for receiving a silver medal for the first time in cricket at the Commonwealth Games.
