Chelsea have completed their first signing of this year’s transfer window by completing Joao Pedro Deal with Brighton. The Deal is now confirmed and completed at a transfer fee of £60 million. At first, Brighton were not ready to sell Joao Pedro in this year’s summer transfer window. However, they respected the player’s desire to move on for a next big challenge in his career. Club CEO Paul Barber has confirmed the deal – “Chelsea have met our valuation, and while Joao is a special player, we understand his ambition. We wish him nothing but the best at his new club.”
Brighton’s Manager also commented on Joao Pedro, “Joao gave everything to the club this past season. His development has been outstanding, and we are proud of the player he has become.”
Although Brighton did not want to sell Pedro this year, They still got good money by this deal. They are planning to reinvest this money in more young players that have already been scouted.
