Jorginho gives transfer recommendation to his ex Chelsea teammate Mason Mount following the summer transfer window.

The Italian midfielder recommends Arsenal to his former teammate following his recent move to the Emirates Stadium. He has even endorsed Mikel Arteta following his move to the Gunners.

According to GOAL, talks have also for Arsenal to sign the English midfielder with Liverpool also been linked with Mount for a long time now. However, the English International is currently injured and can now focus on his summer transfer plans.

Mount has rejected a new contract at Chelsea, which has opened the doors for the other clubs. Hence, Jorginho can now play an important role in persuing him to join Arsenal in the summer and he even endorsed Mikel Arteta in his first interview for the Gunners. He said:-

“He was a big influence because I know that he tried a few times to get me before and it didn’t happen due to other reasons, not because of my wishes. So of course, he had a big influence.”

Mount and Jorginho played an important role Chelsea’s Champions League Triumph in 2021. Speaking to beIN Sports, the Italian explained:-

“He [Arteta] reminds me a little bit of Sarri. I am used to working with a manager that looks into the details.

“For me, details make the difference in the end between a good team and a winning team. I am sure, 100 per cent, that he worships [the details] so much.

“I’ve only been here a short time but I’m sure every day there is going to be something new and that’s why I’m so excited as well because I can see that I have so much to learn here.”
