Josko Gvardiol is said to be in talks with Chelsea for a transfer move

Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Josko Gvardiol for a transfer move. Reports claim Christopher Vivell is already in contact with Josko Gvardiol for a Chelsea move. Although RB Leipzig is confident about not selling the player this month. The new Chelsea technical manager already had a very busy transfer month so far. According to reports Vivell already held discussions with Leipzig regarding the future of Josko Gvardiol. The German club have apparently shut down any Chelsea hopes of signing the player in January. However, talks might reopen again between the two clubs for a summer transfer. It was claimed last month that Chelsea had already made a bid for Gvardiol. However, as of yet, nothing have come out of that bid.

Josko Gvardiol will not leave RB Leipzig for Chelsea this month

RB Leipzig have made it clear to Chelsea that they do not wish to part ways with Josko Gvardiol. However, Chelsea can try to sign the player again in the summer if they still remain interested. Journalist Christian Falk have reported this piece of news to GiveMeSport. Falk commented,

“I know Vivell, the technical director, knocked a few weeks ago at the door, the telephone door, of Leipzig and asked for January.”

He further added,

“There was a complete no, but he also asked about the possibility in the summer and there is a chance.”

According to reports the player will remain a Leipzig player for the time being and is happy in Germany. Gvardiol had an amazing World Cup stint with Croatia. Croatia finished third in the World Cup tournament after they managed a victory against Morocco.

Josko Gvardiol is being referred to as an up-and-coming centre-back in modern football. He have received praise from both fans and football pundits for his recent performances. He is widely recognized as the world’s one of the elite defender. His World Cup performance with Croatia helped his reputation massively. Chelsea fans would be hoping for the player to join their team in the summer.
