Chelsea’s £30m signing, Kiernan Dewsbury Hall is confident to prove people wrong once again.
Journey of Kiernan Dewsbury Hall
Chelsea have had some weird and odd moves in the past. Dewsbury Hall’s move is also one of them for sure. He’s exactly the type of player they already have in numbers. And they had doubts about his quality too.
The English player is linked with a away move already. But one day he will show his worth. His journey began from a small town called Shepshed. His family has been his biggest source of support. He completed his schooling from New Craft and then Shepshed High School.
Shepshed Dynamo was his first club at age six. He was there for a year. Then he trained with Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County. He chose to play for the Foxes at the age of eight.
In the start at Leicester, he used to train two or three times in a week. And he was playing matches at the weekend. Growing up he used to play on astroturf or grass fields at Loughborough University.
His time at Leicester City
That’s exactly what Kiernan achieved at Leicester, earning himself a spot in the first team after successful loan spells at Blackpool and Luton.
The midfielder totaled over 100 appearances for the club he supported as a child before taking a step up to Chelsea, after winning the Championship title along with his manager, Enzo Maresca.
After being named the Supporters’ Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and earning a spot in the Championship Team of the Year, Kiernan would be going to London to play last summer. Now one of the positives of his journey is that he is able to have an impact back in the local community, which has shaped him into the man he is today.
He is now an ambassador of a charity named Glebe House Project, where his mum has been working for 35 years, supporting adults and children. He continues to trying to increase his influence with the Blues. There is no doubt his inner determination will give him every chance to do this.
