Klopp fears Chiesa’s adaptability with Liverpool and in English football

Recently, Liverpool signed Federico Chiesa from Juventus. Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, fears the Italian player’s adaptation ability in English football and with other Liverpool players. A few years ago, the German manager signed Takumi Minamino from RB Leipzig. The Japanese failed to deliver for the Reds as he wasn’t able to adapt to life in English football. The Reds eventually sold him to AS Monaco. A few days ago, Federico Chiesa joined the Liverpool squad. He is yet to mix up with the squad properly.

In a Carabao Cup match, Chelsea defeated the Reds with a scoreline of 2-0. After that match, Jurgen Klopp said that Minamino was free in a couple of situations. According to Mirror, Klopp said that Neco Williams should have passed the ball to Minamino. Jurgen Klopp is thinking that these things may also happen with Chiesa. So, the Italian must make a good bonding with his teammates in order to build a proper team chemistry.

That is why Jurgen Klopp has sent a warning message to the Italian. On the other hand, new Liverpool manager Arne Slot should look into this matter.

The Dutch manager should ensure that Chiesa integrates into his system. The fans are extremely excited with the Italian winger because he is only signing for Liverpool.

Chiesa at Liverpool

After joining Liverpool, Chiesa has faced some harsh situations. Recently, Liverpool defeated Manchester United with a score line of 3-0. The Italian winger also attended that match. He was watching the game from the stands.

When Chiesa was coming out from Old Trafford, Manchester United fans were shouting slurs at him. In England, these things are quite normal. Federico Chiesa should deal with these things or else he will not be able to perform well in English football.

The teammates should also help him feel comfortable in the dressing room. For Chiesa, England is a completely different place with different culture and distinct lifestyle. In the beginning, things will be difficult for him. But then he will gradually cope with this new environment.

Jurgen Klopp knows all the Liverpool players because he spent 8 seasons with them. So, he can predict how the environment will be for Chiesa at Anfield. On top of that, Arne Slot is a new manager at Liverpool. Unlike Klopp, he doesn’t know all of his players that well.

Jurgen Klopp left a world-class squad for Arne Slot

At the heart of Anfield, Jurgen Klopp built a strong and a world-class team that won almost every single trophy possible. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool was the only team that managed to beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City for the Premier League title. When Klopp was coaching Liverpool, the competition for the title in the Premier League was always between Liverpool and Manchester City.

These two sides went head-to-head with each other for multiple seasons. From last season, Arsenal have also entered this title race. During the 8-year span, the German coach built a distinct culture inside Liverpool’s dressing room. Players always gave their everything on the pitch for Jurgen Klopp. Most importantly, he connected with every single player of his squad.

Under Arne Slot, things might be different. Gradually, the Dutch manager will get to know more about each and every player, which also includes their new signing Federico Chiesa.

Last season, Liverpool finished in third place in the English Premier League, and Jurgen Klopp decided to leave them. His squad was filled with talented players like Mohammed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Alisson Becker, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and many more.

Big teams like Manchester City always feared facing Klopp’s Liverpool. The Reds used to play with full aggression. In other words, Jurgen Klopp handed over a ready-made squad to Arne Slot because there is already a lot of talent in the entire squad. The German gave perfect roles to each player. The players used to give their best on the pitch.
