Origi in Liverpool’s game against Everton had come off the bench to score their second goal and consolidate their lead in the match.

Although Klopp made five changes to his team, Origi was not present on the team and this raised some eyebrows.

Moreover, the Belgian is supposed to leave the Merseyside club coming summer. His contract is set to end at the end of this season. Therefore, his inclusion in the team was expected.

How important is Origi to Liverpool for the rest of the season?

The reason for his exclusion from the team was later revealed by Klopp in the post-match press conference.

Klopp reported that Origi was ill and his frequent vomiting restricted him to take the tour to St. James Park.

He added,

Divock Origi was vomiting and stuff like this, stomach problems. We had this before with Kostas and Curtis so we have to make sure nothing is going around. That’s why he was not involved.”

However, Origi is expected to play a crucial part in Liverpool’s quadruple bid in the remainder of the season.

His physicality is a big point that proves to be a big threat for the opponents. Moreover, no other attacking player in Liverpool brings this kind of physicality to the team as Origi does.

He is certainly capable of scoring goals. Moreover, from time to time he has proven what he is actually capable of.

Origi has time and proven how crucial is he for the team- be it scoring the winner or consolidating the lead. He has been a constant support in the attacking lineup.

His talent would therefore come in very handy to the Reds while chasing their quadruple bid.
