Leroy Sane: Tottenham Offered Chance to Sign Arsenal Target

Leroy Sane’s Bayern Uncertainty Fuels Premier League Buzz

The Bundesliga is finished and players are on summer holidays — that means on the transfer market it’s hotting up. Leroy Sane future at Bayern Munich is now uncertain. The winger is said to be getting frustrated in Germany despite having a deal that runs until June 2025. Bayern are interested in retaining his services, but negotiations over a new deal have broken down. And they have now invited his representatives to look elsewhere – which could clear the path for a return to the Premier League.

Sane, who moved to Bayern from Manchester City, has endured a mixed time in Germany. He was integral in the club’s fortunes early on but with bad form and tactical changes, he has somewhat fallen out of favour. Now with a year remaining on his contract, Bayern might be eager to cash in rather than see him walk for free next summer.

Arsenal are still very keen. Arteta knows Sane from their time together at City and believes he is the perfect player to add in the wide positions and provide genuine competition to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the situation, they have not yet made a bid for the English international. However, Sane’s salary and anticipated transfer fee could make things tricky.

Bayern Munich may lower the fee if Leroy Sane pushes for an exit. His situation has attracted several Premier League clubs, with Arsenal standing out due to their Champions League status and Arteta’s strong influence.

Tottenham Join the Race for Sane’s Signature

Although Arsenal have long admired Sane, Bayern have reportedly offered Tottenham the chance to sign him. Bayern are gauging interest from Premier League clubs, and Spurs have shown intrigue. Ange Postecoglou is eager to strengthen his attack, and Sane—fast, creative, and experienced—fits perfectly.

Although no official offer has been made, internal discussions have begun at Tottenham. They’re assessing whether Leroy Sane fits into their budget and wage structure. His addition would significantly raise competition in forward areas and give the squad added depth for the 2025/26 campaign.

With Spurs keen to sign players with Premier League experience as part of a broader plan for marquee names who have proven themselves in the top flight, Sane’s record would be impressive. The club is eager to narrow the distance in quality with league leaders, and snapping up a high-profile winger could serve as a signal of their reborn status.

Both clubs must now weigh up Sane’s wages, transfer cost, and fit within their existing squads. Crucially, the player’s own preference will play a major role—whether he chooses the familiarity of Arteta’s Arsenal project or the fresh challenge at Spurs under Postecoglou could ultimately decide his fate.

Author’s Opinion

Leroy Sane’s availability has set the stage for a true North London tug-of-war. Both Arsenal and Tottenham chasing Sane says a lot about his quality—even if his recent form has dipped. For Arsenal, he offers experience and width in a squad chasing major honours. For Spurs, he could be a game-changer in their attacking rebuild.

If Bayern sell, this could be one of the defining transfers of the summer. Whether he reunites with Arteta or joins Tottenham’s new era under Postecoglou, Sane’s next move could reshape the ambitions of either side—and possibly tip the scales in North London’s ongoing power struggle.

There is also a personal crossroads for Leroy Sane. For a 28-year, entering the peak of his professional career he must now decide on a team that will provide him with more than just playing opportunities but return him to the spotlight and back to doing what he loves most; terrorising the league with his killer pace.
