Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were engaged in a heating battle last season for winning the 2021 World Championship.

The relationship between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton arguably soured after the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Verstappen snatched the race win and the world title in a rather controversial way from Hamilton. This left Hamilton and his fans feeling of being robbed.

Nevertheless, there is nothing Hamilton or anyone could do or can do. Max Verstappen won the 2021 season and became a World Champion.

The 2021 season evolved into a brutal rivalry between the two extraordinary drivers.

Furthermore, the brawl was not limited to drivers only. Both Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Mercedes’ Totto Wolff exchanged a lot of allegations against each other the whole season.

2022 was a different story for Hamilton and Verstappen

The constant needle between Red Bull and Mercedes won’t go away soon.

However, it was expected that the relationship will become worse this season. But, Mercedes failed to make a car fast enough to challenge the Bulls.

So, Verstappen and Hamilton are not involved in such a heated battle this season. Both are basically driving in different leagues.

Still, a little niggle from the past is visible between the two. So, not talking and leaving it be is the best one can do.
During the Dutch Grand Prix, Hamilton was asked about Verstappen as a driver and as a person. To this, Hamilton responded:

“I wouldn’t ever comment on either of those.”

Well, Hamilton might still have some scars from the past or just didn’t want to get involved in the interview and the question at all. In any case, Hamilton might just be trying to forget the lost 2021 title and the way it was lost.
