Lino Sousa was spotted in the Arsenal training ahead of the match against Aston Villa. Arsenal will find themselves trying to make a quick turnaround. Furthermore, the Gunners suffered a loss against Manchester City. They suffered a 1-3 defeat at the Emirates stadium. This was a significant blow to Arsenal as they slipped into 2nd position in the League table. However, they both share the same points but City is still ahead of Arsenal due to goal difference. The Gunners face Aston Villa on Saturday after their loss to City. Villa will be looking to end their two consecutive losing run. On Friday, the Gunners’ media shared some pictures of the training ground. Academy player Lino Sousa was also seen in those pictures. Moreover, Arteta had promoted several other academy players to the training that day. Lino Sousa was one of them.

Sousa was seen laughing with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel. Furthermore, Lino Sousa was looking amused with his senior players. Lino Sousa was also seen sitting on a football while looking over his shoulder in a different photo. The player have been with Arsenal for over a year now. Lino Sousa joined the Gunners academy back in January 2022. The youngster made an immediate impact on the Arsenal youth team. He played for both U-18s and U-23s for them. Furthermore this season so far Sousa have made 2 Premier League appearance along with three EFL appearances. He have also made appearances for FA Youth Cup. The Arsenal player have been dubbed Jordi Alba 2.0 by The Sun. He is believed to be one of the best players in the country for his age. He have already impressed many football journalists so far.

However, Lino Sousa will have to face stiff competition in form of Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney. Therefore he might not start for the Arsenal team anytime soon. But he is certainly learning from some of the best players. The next step for the player would be a loan move to an EFL side next season.
